Our research article got accepted in 'Atmospheric Research'

Our research article titled “Controls on spatiotemporal variations of stable isotopes in precipitation across Bangladesh” got accepted to Atmospheric Research. Access to this research article can be obtained from the publisher here.

In this study, we investigated the role of different atmospheric controls on the variations of stable isotopes in precipitation over Bangladesh. This was partial output of my master of science thesis at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. During 2017-2018 period, our colleagues from the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission collected event-based precipitation samples over Bangladesh which was later analyzed for their stable isotopic composition in the Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Climate Change and Land Surface Processes, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Professor Jing Gao from the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences supervised me in this study and provided me with the access to stable isotope laboratory where I performed laboratory analysis using Picarro’s Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) technique. I gratefully acknowledge the support from the Government of the People’s Republic of China for their generous support through the Belt and Road Master’s Fellowship program that supported my research masters at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
