Degree conferral and graduation from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

In an academic meeting held on September 24, 2020, members from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences academic council agreed on my degree’s conferral upon successful completion of all the academic requirements. I am officially a graduate of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yay!

It was a long and bumpy road, but I’m happy that it’s over now and I have finished it well. Over the last few years, I have made many friends, been to many places, tasted signature Chinese dishes, and struggled with my poor and broken Chinese skills. I will forever remember my journey in China, and I am glad that I took the courage to accept the challenge of coming to China and earning my degree.

I gratefully acknowledge the support from the Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Belt and Road Master’s Fellowship program that sponsored my study and research at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am also grateful to all my friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, who always stood by my side and made my life in China a lot easier, fun, and enjoyable.
